Is there anything to do in Hamlin?

March 19, 2026

“Is that a drive thru,” I said to myself as I pulled into the parking lot of Krony’s Pizza Etc. in Hamlin. While I was at the counter ordering, I asked about the drive thru and the clerk said that it was just used for pick-up only.

I don’t spend much time in Hamlin, but on this Thursday the day before Spring, I started off my adventure in Hamlin at the pizza shop. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza with the clerk and sat down at a table and waited for it to heat up.

There were about a nine people dining out in this good size dining room at one in the afternoon. A busser girl was pushing a cart through the room doing various duties.

I had to get up and get my pizza at the counter. Sitting back down, the pizza was very hot and it was a challenge to eat as it was hot and thin. When I was done with it and leaving, I walked around aimlessly looking for a good place to put my dish, but I found a sign that said to leave it on the table.

I was pretty sure there was nothing to see headed north toward the beach, but I drove down 19 anyways just to double check. At the edge of town, I stopped at a gas station to get a decaf coffee but the pot was empty. I left and headed back to the other side of Hamlin where there is a Treasure Store.

I got lucky because they are only open on Thursday and Saturday. I browsed the store that carried what you would expect a thrift store to have. I looked through a vast selection of puzzles and decided to buy a 550 piece puzzle of an old fashioned small town. It was seventy-five cents. The next time I come to Life Solutions, I plan on looking through their CD selection.
