December 16th
Who eats lunch at 11:00AM? Me. Of course, there were no customers at Arlington Restaurant in Hilton at this time. I sat at a booth and quickly ordered a Patty Melt with the bartender. Workers popped in and out while I waited for my food. Rock music was playing in the background and there were a bunch of T.V’s playing random shows. The bartender was setting up the youtube channel as part of her opening duties.
The burger was good but when I got to the onions on the sandwich it was downright delicious. I had a healthy side of vegetables which were also very tasty. As this was my first time at the restaurant, I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleased with the atmosphere.
Down the street was a small bookstore and I walked over to it after my lunch. I asked the woman who was seated at the desk if they sold classics. She took me to the back of the store and there were a couple of small shelves with some classics. I ended up getting an Edith Warton novel for one dollar. What a bargain.
I drove around the corner to The Blend Bar and went inside and got a blueberry and mango smoothie. I talked to the owner about the holidays and then I was on my way.
