Powers Farm Market in Pittsford

September 5th,

Some say that Summer ends after Labor Day, but don’t be fooled, it isn’t over until September 22nd and we usually have decent weather until October 1st. Despite trying not to get swept away by the excitement of the Fall coming, I visited Powers Farm Market in Pittsford to see if they were getting ready for the Fall. It’s September 5th and they already had a hundred pumpkins out on their lawn. A majority of the pumpkins were white. Interesting! I’m not buying a pumpkin because I think it’s too early for that. I usually put pumpkins on our steps on October 1st.

Also going on outside, there was hayrides happening at eleven o clock in the morning and people were checking out the small zoo too. Alpacas were chasing each other when I looked over at the zoo from afar. Inside the log cabin store, I noticed that they had ten different varieties of in-house baked pies. And then, of course, I bought a Canandaigua coffee because that’s what I do, is drink coffee all day. Before I left, I sat outside on the bench and watched a couple of employees unload a delivery truck that was carrying large and small mums. A couple of children were running out of the store and towards the “castle” which is the teepee out back.

Enjoy the rest of the summer!
